Bio

Kyser Blakely is an appellate litigator. He has briefed significant cases in courts across the country, including the U.S. Supreme Court, federal courts of appeals, and state appellate courts. He also has argued multiple appeals in the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Sixth and Ninth Circuits, as well as in the Supreme Court of Ohio.

Mr. Blakely’s work has spanned many substantive areas, from constitutional and administrative law to statutory interpretation, and various regulatory issues. He also represents clients pro bono, particularly individuals who need help protecting their rights and interests from government interference.

Before joining Skadden, Mr. Blakely served as a deputy solicitor general in the Ohio Attorney General’s office. Previously, he clerked for Judge Sandra Ikuta of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
